Italian Football Suspended!

Exactly what the sign says.

On Friday night, police officer Fillipo Raciti was killed by a homemade bomb while attempting to quell fighting between fans from Catania and Palermo. In response to this tragic act, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has decided to indefinitely suspend all football activities.

Killing someone else in the name of sport? For the love of your club? Admittedly, football can mean a lot of some people. But what justification can you offer when a life has been lost?
