Enterbay Garage Models: More Details, More Models & Sadly Not Die-cast [Noooooo!!!]
A visit to Enterbay's site quickly revealed that they have updated their site with more info about their Garage Models line of collectibles. The good news is that apart from the 599GTB, the awesome F430 and Scuderia have been added to the line and are already available for purchase. Each will set you back US$50 (S$72) excluding shipping.
Also, I've discovered that the models will indeed require some simple assembly, which, in my books, sucks. Fortunately however, the parts are made of a "Snap Fit" design, meaning they'll snap into place, with some of the more complicated parts requiring some simple screwing about with a screw driver. No painting will be required as it'll all be pre-painted.
Sad to say, the body will not be die-cast, although the chassis will be. Considering its hefty price tag, I would have expected the car to be mostly die-cast. To put things in perspective, similar scale (1/43) diecast models from Auto Art are comparatively cheaper, at around US$35. Furthermore, they come completely assembled and as far as Auto Art models go, they are one of the best around.
Still, I would like to see one of Enterbay's Garage Models in the flesh before I write them off completely.

Not fully die-cast. Oh man! I would like to see it in the flesh too. Hopefully it will be nice.
Nice Ferrari model though I prefer it to have die-cast body too. This is the only Ferrari model that I fancy. I'm more of Lamborghini fan! :)

Hey I saw the 1:24 scale Ferrari F430 self-assemble model kit in the departmental stores. Made by Maisto and cost about SGD 20+.
Can get it at a sale for cheaper price. Other Ferrari models like 599GTB also available.
Most importantly, the body is die-cast, though the other parts are plastic. Too bad the seats and interior are light brown in color.
@Juliana: Thanks for the heads up. S$20 is a very attractive price. I'm gonna keep a look-out the next time I'm out and about in town.
